As a realtor, it is so rewarding to work with clients who know what they want and work together to find exactly that. Mandy and Melissa were so fun to work with for this reason, as they knew exactly the floor plan they were looking for and what they wanted in a home from the very first conversation. When we walked into their new home on Mississippi, they immediately saw its potential. Now that they have put their touch on it and brought their vision to life, it was so fun to go back and visit them and see the finished product!
This home needed a very good cleaning to start with and that they did! They kept the flooring in the home and put a fresh coat of paint on everything, which always gives an immediate refresh. The living room paint is “Realist Beige,” and the bedroom paint color is “Kingston,” both by Sherwin Williams. There was some nice original woodwork and crown molding, but they did replace some interior doors. I loved the touch of green velvet curtains in the family room and the Amazon curtain rods that added such a fun touch. The kitchen cabinets and the backsplash are original, but the kitchen got a facelift with new countertop (Viatera’s Gemini quartz), a fresh coat of paint (custom mixed by SW), and new hardware on the cabinets. It’s crazy how a few carefully selected changes like this can really transform a space!

The bathrooms had recently been updated before they purchased the home, so again a very deep cleaning was the main priority, as well as having one tub/shower unit resurfaced. In the basement they added the carpet (Karastan Cordial Welcome in Pale Quartz) and LVP flooring (Karndean Tweed Oak) for the workout equipment, which is something they really wanted to do. They are still waiting to furnish the rest of the basement. Everything is stubbed in to put in another full bath in the basement and the previous seller even left some of the fixtures to complete this. Mandy and Melissa’s dad is very handy, and he worked many hours to make this home extremely nice for his daughters! I love seeing that personal investment, and love the finished product.
Thank you both for allowing me to play a role in “unlocking these new doors”! It was a pleasure to work with you, and to come back and see all the work you put into your beautiful home.
