While Fall might be a little indecisive at this point on whether or not it’s going to stay awhile, it’s still one of my favorite seasons.
The crisp air mixed with the smell of the outdoors, the falling leaves, the sweaters, boots, and scarves. Even though Winter is around the corner, Fall just has a way of boosting spirits, and I would really love it if the sixty degree weather stayed around a couple more weeks.
In Central Illinois, we are blessed to have quite a few orchards and pumpkin patches in the area – a perfect day date for families and friends. Not only can you spend an entire day picking pumpkins, drinking apple cider, petting animals, finding your way through a corn maze, and lots of other fun activities, but you can also go home with a pumpkin and extend the fun with a pumpkin-carving night.
For those of you who may be new to the Central Illinois area, here is a list of all the orchards and pumpkin patches.
- Christ Orchard in Elmwood, Illinois
- Partridge Point Orchard in Metamora, Illinois
- Radar Farms in Normal, Illinois
- Tanners Orchard in Speer, Illinois
- Arends Orchard in Laura, Illinois

I would love to hear a memory you have at one of these locations, or more! In the meantime, I hope you have a free day to go out and enjoy Fall, in all of it’s glory.
