I was honored to help Nathan and Clair last year as they embarked on the home-buying journey for the first time! It was a joy to watch their excitement as they “unlocked new doors” in a lovely home in Morton. The home they purchased was filled with color – almost every room was painted a bold color. The appliances in the kitchen were extremely outdated as well as the cabinets. When Nathan and Clair closed on their first home, they had lots of dreams of updating and remodeling. And they definitely made it happen!
Before
The kitchen was the biggest transformation, as Nathan and Clair worked alongside their family painting, putting in new cabinets, a backsplash, new electrical, and more. The transformation is unreal – and so awesome to see! I stopped by last week to check it out for myself, and it was a joy to see Clair so at home in her new kitchen.
Nathan’s dad helped them out every week for many weeks, as well as other family members! Clair painted the pantry to brighten it up, and they put in an automatic light as well. Clair and Nathan also painted the entire kitchen, and they purchased new appliances from Menard’s as well as backsplash and cabinets. A new sink went in the counter top which has tons of space, and they had can lights put in which totally brightened up the entire room, and they purchased a super cool light pendant above their sink from Home Depot. Someone gifted them a large gift card to Home Depot during the process – Nathan and Clair felt so blessed! They also purchased a new dishwasher from Home Depot as well.
Clair has been busy painting other rooms as well. The all-purple room (pictured above) she painted a lovely white, while still keeping just one purple wall for an accent. She plans on painting the upstairs next, and Nathan is currently busy in the basement finishing off a room with dry wall and concrete filler so they can have a hang out space down there as well. I can not wait to see the entire house when it is finished!
It is so fun to see a past client and friend loving their new home. It makes the journey totally worth it, and it makes me feel so blessed to have the job that I do. I hope Clair and Nathan make many wonderful memories here – in fact, I know they will.
