Stoneway Remodel.

There is nothing quite like the transformation a home undergoes throughout a remodel! I love
seeing before and after pictures and find it amazing how even just a few adjustments can really reshape the entire house. This remodel project was especially fun to see, as it is the home of my sister!

Before

When my sister and her husband bought this home, they already dreamed up their new vision for both the interior and exterior. Judy and Merlyn are blessed to have a daughter-in-law who is a talented interior designer, Amanda Metzger, and she chose all the paint colors for the walls and trim! She also picked out the new stain for the hardwood floors to carry a cohesive look throughout the house. The wall colors are “Threaded Loom” and “Warm Oats” by Sherwin Williams, and the trim painting was a custom mix. Amanda did an amazing job – it all flows together so well. If you want to hire her yourself, her business is Amanda Metzger Interiors! Pro Edge did all the painting for them and they did a fantastic job. Todd Vansaghi from Wood Floor Solutions, Inc. did the re-staining of the hardwood floors for them, as well as installed new hardwood floors in their office. A good hardwood floor is hard to beat, and these truly are beautiful. The ceiling of the kitchen and living room had deep swirl-like grooves, and Greg Post from J&G Drywall removed all of these swirls from the ceilings, which made a huge difference as well.
In the bedroom, Merlyn and Judy had their Master closets redone with custom built-ins that were designed and installed by KBL Designs. Merlyn switched out all the canned lights for LED lights, brightening up the space entirely! To finish off the interior updates, they installed new plantation shutters on the windows.

After

On the outside of the home, they installed all new shingles through Sunrise Roofing. Brian
Johnson, the owner, is truly the nicest guy – he was right there working beside his guys on the roof!
The most impressive part was that they left absolutely no mess when they finished their job, we highly recommend their services. Judy and Merlyn had solar panels installed by Legacy Solar, and they also got their garage floor coated by Scott Rowe of Garage Floor Coatings of Central Illinois – he did a phenomenal job. The landscaping got a bit of a makeover as well by my sister who is a genius when it comes to plants! They added a lot of new color and annuals, as well as several flowerpots. It looks so lovely.
I am so thrilled for my sister and her husband as they are now enjoying their newly remodeled
home! I wish you two a future filled with sweet moments here.
