I had the opportunity to work with Michael and Tami Leman a year and a half ago, when they were house shopping! Their wedding was a couple months away, and they were searching for a home to unlock new doors in and start a new chapter together. The instant I showed them a little tan/light yellow house on Adams Street in Morton, they were sold. Tami loves yellow, and the outside color of the house along with the quaint characteristics of this 100 year old house, was too perfect for this couple to pass up.
A year and a half later, I went back to visit Tami, and she gave me a tour of the inside. They have done a lot of work, all the while still keeping the character of the home in place, and the results look awesome! It is amazing what just a fresh coat of paint will do. Tami explained how it was a little tricky at first to blend her and Michael’s preferences of design together, but they finally found a style of their own that satisfied them both. They painted the dining room and living area white, and the kitchen yellow. They tore up the carpet to find the original hardwood underneath – in excellent condition! With a fresh coat of finish, the hardwood floors just might be their favorite part of the house.
In Tami’s words: “I have grown to absolutely adore our little home, and I tell Michael all the time that I never want to move. It’s a small house, but it’s all we need at the moment, and it has been such a great part of our marriage – learning together and blending our design styles into one. The main floor area with the kitchen, dining room, and living room is definitely my most favorite part of the house, and I can’t thank Sue enough for all of her hard work in making this dream home possible for us. Sue is awesome!”

I wish Michael and Tami many years of happiness in this little home on Adams! So thankful I got to be a part of their story!
