I had the privilege to swing by my previous clients’, Sam and Megan’s, recently, and had a blast seeing the work they are currently doing to make their new house their very own. When Sam and Megan “unlocked new doors” at this house last year, they were so excited to learn that it had been in the same family for many years and had been incredibly well taken care of by the previous owners. This made moving in and customizing the home with just a few upgrades, a seamless process! The finished product is going to be such a beautiful and inviting home for Sam & Megan, and I could not be more happier for them!
BEFORE

The home had existing original wooden floors (every homeowner’s dream!), so one of the biggest projects for this remodel was refinishing them. Todd Vansaghi of Wood Floor Solutions sanded down the existing wood floors in the upstairs bedrooms and applied a satin finish, leaving these beautiful, warm, grey-toned floors as the perfect backdrop for the bedrooms. The grey stain is “Silvered Grey” by Minwax, and I was blown away by how amazing they turned out!
Megan and her father love working together, so they did a majority of the painting for the upstairs themselves, and it looks amazing! The master bedroom and office are painted with “Armory” by Sherwin Williams, and the guest bedroom is Sherwin Williams’ “Accessible Beige.” All of the trim was painted with “Super Hide White” from Prairie Paint, which looks so sharp and clean. There really is something special about investing a little bit of your own time and sweat as you customize your home and make it your own.
AFTER

Sam and Megan still have some last minute touches to do and their upstairs will be complete! Their hard work has already paid off though, as the fresh floors and the fresh coat of paint did just that: freshened up the space.
As a realtor, it is so rewarding each time I get to see a client go from the first walk-through of a home to settling in and making it their own. This space is beautiful, and truly does reflect you two, Sam and Megan! It has been my pleasure to walk through the process of unlocking these new doors with you.
