Hope you all had a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend! Now Christmas decorating is in full force!
If you asked me for my favorite aspect of my job, I definitely could not give you an answer. There are so many favorite aspects for me! However, I DO know that visiting past client’s and seeing how they transformed their homes, is definitely at the top of the list.
I was honored to visit my past clients and friends a few weeks ago, Mark & Laura. They have done a lot of work to their new home and it was so fun to see! The biggest transformation at this time is their basement family room area. They have completely transformed it to be a lovely room for them to hang out in, and enjoy.
BEFORE
They’ve been hard at work painting, and Laura choose paint colors by Benjamin Moore: White Dove for the 3 walls and Caldwell Green for the accent wall behind the fireplace. Laura then primed and painted the fireplace by brush with White Dove, in Eggshell matte. For the trim, Laura choose Chantilly Lace in semi gloss! Her paint choices totally brightened up the room and gave it some fun contrast as well!
Mark and Laura chose the new flooring from Carpet Weavers and went with Hickory Hardwood in the natural color. This gave the room a more modern look and also freshened up the space after the removed the previous carpet.
Laura decorated so cute with gold accents, fun corners for the children, and contrasting colors like their couch. What an awesome family space, especially for these cold Winter months approaching – I’m picturing lots of time spent around the fireplace!
AFTER
Mark and Laura are both very creative and they do most all the work themselves! They are great painters and pay great attention to detail. I can’t wait to see how their bathroom turns out – which is Laura’s next project, after they welcome their newest addition to the family, first! Blessings to you both as you welcome Baby #4 to your family, and as you continue to make this house your very own. I am honored to call you friends, and had so much fun walking alongside you both as you “unlocked new doors”!
