My husband often jokes that I became an Interior Designer the same day I became a realtor. While that is far from the truth, I do give a lot of advice to my clients about their homes, and I love seeing the remodels my clients have done after buying as well!
When clients are preparing to sell, often times I help pick out a new paint color to freshen a space up before listing. I also have provided advice on layouts of a room for staging, porch decor for curb appeal, and more! However, I love recommending the amazing interior designers we have in our local community as well. After a client buys a house, it’s always nice to give some names of professional Interior Designers, in case they are in need of remodeling and redecorating assistance.
Here are some great ones in our local community:
Floral Designs, LTD. – Based out of Morton, IL, this mother & daughter business is extra special. They are super personable, have lovely taste, and will help out with anything Interior Design related. Their brick & mortar store also holds a flower shop – perfect for a fresh new bouquet on your countertop right before staging photos! Ann & Kim do home visits and home make-overs as well, and they are great at it.
Louisa Jane, Inc. – Based out of Tremont, IL, Janet started a lovely furniture store that became a retail studio. She then added a kitchen & bath design center and now it has transformed into anything design related! If you are ever in the Tremont area, their store front is a must-see. Janet and her team does house calls, home make-overs, complete remodels, and new construction!
Beyond Interior Designs – Based out of Peoria, Tammy Schmidgall started this company in 2001. It has since expanded to Chicago and Lake Geneva! Beyond Interior Designs does complete home make-overs, from the furniture to the fabrics to the curtains and everything in between.
Dwell Interiors – Based out of Bloomington, IL, this one-woman business is doing great things! I’ve heard so many lovely stories about Stephanie. She will come to your home and give expert advice on anything remodeling/interior design related, and see the project through from start to finish. Stephanie serves the entire Central Illinois area.
Bella Grove – Based out of Peoria, IL, Bella Grove is a full-service retail store with upholstery, furniture, custom drapery, area rugs, lighting, and more. They also do remodels, new construction, window treatments, and anything interior design related in your home!
If you are ever in need of some design advice, any of these fantastic designers are more than willing to lend a hand. I couldn’t recommend any of them enough! We are so fortunate in Central Illinois to have such great talent in our community, and many more awesome designers as well as the ones listed here.
