To know Ryan and Taryn, is to love them. I have had a blast watching them on remodel their home through the photos Taryn posted on social media.
Ryan and Taryn came to me about a year ago for some help with “unlocking new doors” in Morton! The two of them have a lot of family in Central Illinois, and had moved to Wisconsin for several years for work. I was more than happy to welcome them back to our community and walk alongside them on their home-buying journey!
After viewing one of my listings on Missouri a couple times, Ryan and Taryn decided it was THE home, and they closed on it soon after. The fun part began – remodeling! Taryn has an amazing eye, and a bright taste in decor, and I was so excited to see what magic she would work in their new home.
Before
First, Ryan and Taryn converted the living room on the main floor into their master suite, and the result is stunning. Complete with new vinyl plank flooring from Tazewell Flooring in Morton, lovely barn doors that lead to the bathroom and closet, and a cute sitting area, their bedroom is what dreams are made of! In their master bathroom, they placed a super fun tile on the wall, kept the walk-in shower, and brought in a cool tub from Wayfair.com. They also purchased their bathroom vanity from Wayfair, as well as several other pieces for their home.
Moving on to the family room, dining room, and sunroom, Ryan and Taryn painted all the walls and trim, and brought in their colorful furniture and decor for the walls. The final look is so much fun! They decided to keep the fireplace in the den/dining room exactly as is, keeping a nostalgic feeling to the overall joyful appearance. Taryn had the sunroom converted into her new photography studio, and the natural light is just amazing in there.
In the Kitchen, Taryn had her cabinets painted to freshen the room up. They choose a white for the cabinets, and a teal for the island! It definitely opened up the kitchen and accented the natural light from the windows, and her painter did an amazing job. Taryn and her dad painted the kitchen walls, as well as the treads on the stairway leading to the second floor. Ryan and Taryn’s little son has a room up there, as well as another for their daughter. Taryn’s sister, Tonya, painted some cool murals in each of their rooms – such a lovely, sentimental touch! Tonya did an amazing job!
After
It was the best afternoon hanging out with Taryn and her two sweet children. Ryan and Taryn’s home just radiates joy with it’s bright touches of color everywhere. And if the color doesn’t make you joyful, their sweet little daughter sure will – she was all smiles!
It was a joy to walk alongside this family as they unlocked new doors, and even more of a joy to see how they have made their new house a home. I pray many wonderful memories are made in these bright walls!
